All photos are of wildflowers growing in New England. Most are not cultivated but found in and around woodlands and roadsides. For information on New England wildflowers there are several fine websites: The New England Wildflower Society (NEWFS) at http://www.newfs.org/ and the Connecticut Botanical Society at http://www.ct-botanical-society.org/ (has an outstanding collection of photos). Better yet visit the Garden in the Woods in Framingham, MA home of the NEWFS.

CAUTION this annual is a very rapid grower producing a very large crop of seeds because of its sweet nectare. It is a very invasive plant.
